I’ve been working kind of all over the place past week on this painting. I gave the sky another layer. Also touched up the mountains. I did another layer for the reflection of the mountain in the water, but now need to make it look like a reflection. The field of grass is still a work in progress, so i’ll Try to make more progress on it this week. The shoreline got some attention, with attempts at making stuff look more three-dimensional. All that said, my real fun came in getting ready to do the underwater substrate, pebbles and small rocks. And there are a LOT of very small rocks! I’ve not painted nearly enough. But with what’s there, you can perhaps imagine how it will look when i paint the “water” above. This will be via a glaze , or two, or three — we’ll see!
Wow and 2 thumbs up from both of us!! Look forward to the finished water works

Good job! keep it up. And remember, this is a representation of the scene, not a photo. Don’t go overboard with the detritus underwater. Hugs, m

Thanks, Myra — Yes, I’ll try not to go overboard. The bigger danger is that I’ll subconsciously start creating regular patterns.
