I’ve been working past week or two on the grasses on the left side of the painting and on the reflections of the mountain and trees in the water. Also gave some attention to glazing over the small rocks in the stream that are supposed to be underwater. Probably did 5 or 6 layers of very thin glazes, using darker hues in some areas and lighter in others. Issues with the grasses involved improving color and brush strokes, in relation to perspective. this required multiple re-do’s, but I think i am getting closer to what I’d like this part of hte painting to look like. as for the reflections, i repainted those several times — turning the painting sideways, and upside down, trying to get both the shapes and the hues to “work”.
